TERMS AND CONDITIONS

B&B Baron Gautsch offers and sells bed and breakfast services according to the published information, description, terms, and valid price list, as confirmed by the reservation. By sending a reservation inquiry, you confirm that you agree to the General Terms and Conditions, which then become a legal obligation. When providing services, B&B Baron Gautsch applies the rules prescribed by the house rules, in accordance with the valid positive legal regulations of the Republic of Croatia.

SERVICE PRICE

The valid service price is stated in the offer received through the reservation and in the price list. The price refers to bed and breakfast, per person for one night. All types of special services not included in the price are to be paid by the guest and must be ordered at the time of booking or upon request on-site. VAT is included in the prices.

 

TOURIST TAX

The tourist tax is not included in the accommodation prices mentioned but is calculated on-site. The tourist tax is stated in EUR. The decision on the amount of the tourist tax is made by the Assembly of the Istrian County. Children up to 12.99 years old do not pay the tourist tax, while children from 13 to 17.99 years old pay 50% of the tourist tax amount.

NOTES RELATED TO THE RESERVATION PROCEDURE

Please note that persons aged 13 and above are considered adults and are charged the full price. When booking accommodation, you are obliged to count children older than the specified age as adult persons.

PAYMENT TERMS

At B&B Baron Gautsch, we only accept cash upon arrival at the property. Please ensure that you have the appropriate cash on hand during check-in.

 

FORCE MAJEURE

The client and B&B Baron Gautsch are exempt from fulfilling their obligations in the event of circumstances considered “force majeure” as long as such circumstances persist and affect the performance of contractual obligations, as described in this article. The term “force majeure” refers to unusual and unpredictable events beyond the control of the parties. Such events include (for example) war, the threat of war, demonstrations, natural or nuclear disasters, fire, epidemic, adverse weather conditions, terrorist attacks, government decisions and/or presidential and/or parliamentary decisions (e.g., decisions on closing borders, decisions on the prohibition of leaving the country of residence, decisions on any travel-related bans outside the countries), and other similar circumstances.

 

OTHER ACCOMMODATION TERMS

Working hours of the guesthouse: B&B Baron Gautsch is open to guests from Easter to November 1st each year. Please book your stay within this time frame. Check-in is possible from 2:00 PM. Check-out is required by 11:00 AM to ensure thorough cleaning and preparation of rooms for the next guests. During your stay, you will enjoy an inclusive breakfast with a rich selection of dishes, including local specialties and freshly prepared ingredients. Breakfast is served every morning from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM.

B&B Baron Gautsch reserves the right to deny accommodation and other services to those guests whose behavior is not in line with the house rules in any way, disrupts the peace and dignity of other guests or staff, or jeopardizes their safety or well-being.

B&B Baron Gautsch does not accommodate persons under the age of 18 without the accompaniment of an adult.

Any complaints or grievances by guests will be considered by B&B Baron Gautsch only if they were raised during the stay and directly to the responsible person on-site.

Given the existing differences within the same types of rooms, the listed photographs are for illustrative and informational purposes only and may not correspond to the room actually booked.

COMPLAINTS

It is in the guest’s interest to try to resolve their complaint immediately at the destination. If there is no improvement even after the complaint, the guest must request a confirmation showing that the service was not provided or was not provided as agreed. The guest must attach the confirmation to the written complaint. The guest is obliged to submit a written complaint within 8 days of using the service. If the guest submits a written complaint after this period, B&B Baron Gautsch is not obliged to consider such a complaint. B&B Baron Gautsch is obliged to provide a written solution to this complaint. B&B Baron Gautsch will only address those complaints that could not be resolved on the spot. While the resolution process is ongoing, the guest irrevocably waives the involvement of any other person, arbitration by any other institution, as well as providing information to the media. Likewise, during this time, the guest waives the right to file a lawsuit. The maximum amount of compensation per complaint may reach the amount of the claimed part of the service and cannot include already used services or the total amount of the arrangement. The guest and B&B Baron Gautsch will try to settle disputes amicably, otherwise, they agree on the jurisdiction of the Court in Pazin. The applicable law will be Croatian law.
